I love puzzles, whether it is a jigsaw, a crossword, a logical puzzle Its a good way of chilling, learning and using your brain more.
I have just completed an excellent jigsaw puzzle by Ravensburger and you can see my review here.
This weekend i had the grands for the day on Saturday. They love cooking with me and its a good thing to learn them both. We made white and plain chocolate shortbread.
Here is my recipe.
WHITE CHOCOLATE AND PLAIN CHOCOLATE SHORTBREAD
9OZ PLAIN FLOUR
3OZ SUGAR (I USED CASTER BUT YOU CAN USE BROWN IF YOU WANT DARKER SHORTBREAD)
4 SQUARES OF WHITE CHOCOLATE (CHOPPED ROUGHLY)
4 SQUARES OF PLAIN CHCOLATE (CHOPPED ROUGHLY)
PREHEAT OVEN GAS MARK 4
INTO A BOWL PUT THE FLOUR BUTTER AND SUGAR AND RUB UNTIL BREADCRUMBS.
ADD THE CHOCOLATE AND START TO SQUAEEXE ALL INGREDIENTS TOGETHER TO FORM A BALL.
SPINKLE A LITTLE FLOUR ONTO A WORKTOP AND ROLL OUT UNTIL 6MM THICK
USING A CUTTER CUT OUT ROUND SHAPES AND PLACE ONTO A BAKING TRAY.
PLACE IN THE OVEN FOR 10 – 15 MINUTES UNTIL STARTING TO GOLDEN ON TOP.
PLACE ONTO A COOLING TRAY TO COOL.
